据DefenseWorld网站2019年7月20日报道，继今年4月赢得24亿美元研制萨德系统拦截弹合同后，洛克希德·马丁公司又赢得14.7亿美元的萨德防空反导系统研制合同。美国防部官员7月19日称，洛克希德·马丁公司赢得本次合同，加之这些拦截弹配套的支援保障系统研制，截止目前，能给公司带来54亿美元价值。2018年11月，沙特与美国签署了引进44套、总价150亿美元萨德防空反导系统的协议。
Lockheed Wins $1.5 Billion For Riyadh’s THAAD Defense Systems
Lockheed Martin has won a $1.47 billion mega contract to build the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense system for Saudi Arabia.
The new contract for interceptor support items brings the total value of the deal till date to $ 5.4 billion, the US Department of Defense said in a statement Friday.
The country signed a letter of offer and acceptance with the US for the procurement of 44 THAAD missile systems for an approximate $15 billion in November 2018.
The company was awarded a $2.4 billion contract for THAAD interceptor missiles in April of this year, some of which are slated to be delivered to Riyadh.
